The UCC Children’s Ministry exists to nurture the truth of God’s Word in the hearts and minds of our children. “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path.” Psalms 119:105

Our vision is that every child exposed to our ministry would develop a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. “…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” Matthew 28:19, 20

We transition UCC’s youngest ones (0-24 months) from your loving arms to ours, introducing the church as a safe place to laugh, cry, and grow.

Our Preschool Ministry is a vibrant and fun atmosphere in which preschoolers learn scriptural concepts about God, Jesus, church, Bible, self, family, others, and God’s creation. Our teachers are equipped to creatively lead preschoolers through activity-based, firsthand experiences that begin to shape their young minds as to who God is. We offer two separate classes, 2-3 year olds and 4 year olds-Kindergarten.

Sunday school begins at 9:30 each Sunday morning. Children are greeted by caring, trained teachers who loves our children, and is committed to teaching them about the love of God.

Wee Worship is offered to preschoolers during the Sunday morning worship service beginning at 10:30. Children will remain in their Sunday school classrooms. They are taught by trained volunteers of parents and church members on a 4-week rotation. Children are taught Bible truths thru age-appropriate lessons and hands-on activities.

FW Friends is our mid-week program on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:30 in the sanctuary. Children learn God’s word thru puppet shows, crafts, games, snacks, and an interactive Bible story.

Elementary children are full of excitement, energy, and joy! We incorporate these traits into the classes offered for these children. Our 1st thru 6th graders journey through the Old and New Testaments with their teachers, who utilize age-appropriate curriculum and activities that make learning fun.

Sunday school is offered Sunday morning beginning at 9:30. The children are divided into two separate classes. 1st thru 3rd grades meet in “the locker room”, and 4th thru 6th grades meet in “the arena” both located in the gym.

CrossTraining is our Sunday worship ministry to grades 1st thru 6th. Those attending Crosstraining will attend the first half of the worship service with their family, then leave to the gym with the Crosstrining teachers just before the sermon. Children will be picked up in the Arena area of the gym after services.

C.T.W.(CrossTraining Wednesdays) is our mid-week program on Wednesday nights beginning at 6:30. Your child will enjoy music, journaling, crafts, projects and games. The rooms open at 6:15 for a time of unstructured activity with adult supervision until class begins.
