Pastor, Dr. James Taylor’s (JT as he is affectionately known to us) ministry is characterized by an unwavering commitment and spirit-filled zeal to engage in evangelism and discipleship, meeting the needs of the whole person. Like a brush in the hand of a skilled painter, JT’s unique ability to make people laugh is used as a tool to open their minds and hearts. With practical insights, he is able to communicate hope and direction in a confusing time.
JT received his education through Manhattan Christian College and Kansas State University, and graduated in 1980. He has graduate work in Adult Education from Cincinnati Bible Seminary, and Psychology from Hardin Simmons University. JT earned his doctorate in Ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary in 2003.
JT met his wife, Cindy, in Abilene, Texas in 1997. Cindy earned her doctorate from the University of Kansas in 2006. She is a fifth grade teacher and an adjunct professor.
We thank God for calling us to University Christian Church (UCC) where our gifts and talents and our strengths and weaknesses are perfectly matched to UCC’s strengths and weaknesses. It is like a hand in a glove for the glory of God.
